Psychiatric Billing Associates works with clients in several ways, depending upon the needs of the practice. If you currently use an EMR/EHR system, we can log into your medical records program and obtain the billing data via report. Depending on the program, we may also be able to bill directly from your software; this way all your data is in one system. Our staff is familiar with many of the popular programs including Theranest, Therapy Notes, Advanced MD, Azaela Health and Office Ally.
If you don’t use an EHR program and prefer to send paper records, we can received scanned files through our HIPAA compliant client portal. PBA’s in-house system is web-based and user friendly, offering clients full access to all accounting data and financial reports online. Our online system also offers a complimentary appointment scheduler which can be used to transmit the appointment data to us. It can also be used to set up automatic appointment reminder calls (or text messages/emails) to patients. There are no costs for software upgrades, maintenance or support fees.
To help you get started, our computer support staff will teach your staff the basics: setting up and making appointments for new patients, tracking authorizations and recording copays.
